As a Mindful Menopause Practitioner  I use an holistic Mind-Body approach to support  those  impacted by hormonal changes in their bodies during Peri-menopause,  Menopause and Post- Menopause  using  a unique approach combining Hypnotherapy, Coaching, Mindfulness, Creative Expression and Self-Care.

During menopause, our bodies navigate many significant changes, from hot flushes and night sweats to changes in weight and sleep patterns, irritability, brain fog and so many more. It's important to treat our bodies with kindness and prioritise self-care. Gentle movement  like yoga and walking in Nature can ease symptoms while promoting overall well-being. And let's not forget the power of nourishing our bodies with balanced nutrition and ensuring we try and get as much rest as we can.

It's important to care for our Emotional Well-Being, Menopause can sometimes feel like an emotional rollercoaster, with mood swings, irritability, and tremendous feelings of anxiety. Know that you're not alone in this journey. It's okay to take time for yourself and engage in activities that bring you joy and relaxation. Mindfulness practices, such as meditation,  breathwork and journalling deep breathing, can help calm the mind and soothe the body. And never underestimate the healing power of connecting with loved ones or seeking support from a trusted friend or therapist.

Building Psychological Resilience is key as  we navigate the changes of menopause, it's a time when our confidence can really take a nose dive so it's essential to cultivate resilience and a positive mindset. Hypnotherapy and other mind-body techniques can be incredibly effective in helping us reframe our thoughts and beliefs, empowering us to face challenges with strength and grace. Remember, you're stronger and more resilient than you realise, and you have the inner resources to navigate this journey with confidence.

Menopause is not just a physical or emotional journey—it's also a spiritual one. Take time to connect with your self and your own inner wisdom and find moments of peace and reflection. Whether through  journaling, meditation, or simply spending time in nature, nurturing your spiritual well-being can provide a sense of grounding, creativity  and purpose during this time of transition.

Fluctuations in oestrogen and progesterone levels during menopause can impact brain function and neurotransmitter activity. Some research suggests that  for some, this hormonal shift  can also open up new pathways in the brain, potentially enhancing creativity making Menopause a time of profound inspiration and artistic growth. Embracing and exploring this creativity can enrich your experience of the Menopause  and contribute to your overall well-being and fulfillment.

Seek out support and connection,  remember that you don't have to go through menopause alone. Reach out to friends, family, or a supportive community who understand what you're going through.
